The LPG system is designed for daily use by people with little or no technical knowledge. The LPG converted vehicle initially starts on petrol, (from hot or cold) and then automatically and smoothly changes to LPG whilst stationary or even mobile.
As well as the petrol gauge, the LPG level is displayed by a series of LED lights on a small dashboard mounted switch panel, similar to your other fuel gauge. Once the LPG tank contents have been used, the system will automatically revert to petrol mode, indicated to the driver by an audible buzzer and silenced by a gentle touch of the switch panel.
The additional LPG fuel tank can be either in the spare wheel well in the boot using a toroidal tank, or in cases where a greater mileage range is wanted, it may be possible to install a cylinder, which will generally allow for a larger LPG capacity.
How will this work for me when I am driving around the UK and Europe?
